Our NEW Ornamental Metal Press Snaps are an elegant closure solution for felted garments. Simply sew these strong snaps into position. They lie very flat against the felt and are not bulky at all. A great solution instead of button holes….
Hint: if you don’t want the stitching to be seen on the front-side of your felt, simply don’t push needle through to the other side, just catch enough fibres with your needle/thread to hold snap in place.
To create a Reversible Garment Closure stitch a snap on both the front and back of each side of your garment. Therefore when your garment is reversed it can be snapped closed either way. An additional bonus being that the front-side would have a decorative snap showing, which could be quite nice.
Colours available include: Antique Brass, Gunmetal, Grey Silver, Hexagonal Gunmetal and Black Gunmetal. Snaps measure 20-21 mm in diameter. Sold as a set.

Developing a Design Library of Natural Rhythms in Colour
2 day workshop by Nancy Ballesteros, Perth , Western Australia
We will work through a series of creative processes while developing a library of felted samples, exploring both ‘organic and ‘inorganic’ Natural Rhythms forms. Fibonacci’s principals will be used as a design tool to assist in developing creative sequences with sophisticated colour palettes. The human brain finds these type of natural rhythms especially pleasing to the eye (no maths are necessary!!).
.Using her 30+ years of creating colour, Nancy will present some of her practical ideas and exercises to design your own colour language. She has also developed some specific techniques for felting these natural patterns using newly developed wool handling and finishing techniques. Join us with an open mind ready to expand your felting skills. Our aim is to develop an extensive personal library of samples that will inspire your creative process for years to come.
